Jacinta Mwende Maweu (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy and Media studies and an Associate faculty at the Institute for climate change and Adaptation at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Her background is in Philosophy and Media studies with M.A degrees in both disciplines from the University of Nairobi and a PhD in Media Ethics and the Political economy of the Media from Rhodes University in South Africa. Jacinta teaches, does research and consultancy in the areas of media, conflict and peacebuilding, media and democracy, Mi/disinformation, media and human rights, media ethics, political economy of the media, climate change and communication, social and political philosophy and environmental ethics.
