Laura S. Gaytan-Lugo is an associate professor at the Universidad de Colima in Mexico, appointed at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. She focuses on Human-Computer Interaction. Her research interests include serious games, user experience design, accessibility, and social computing. She holds a Ph.D. in Information Technologies from the Universidad de Guadalajara. She is a member of Mexico's National System of Researchers and the Mexican Academy of Computing. She serves as a co-chair of the SIGCHI Latin America Committee (SLAC), and she is a member of the executive committee of the Mexican Asociation of Human-Computer Interaction (AMexIHC).
