Marco Deseriis is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence, Italy. Dr. Deseriis has published extensively on the relationship between digital media and political participation, including the recent monograph Piattaforme e partecipazione politica [Digital platforms and political participation] (Mondadori 2024) and numerous articles in leading journals such as New Media & Society, Information, Communication & Society, and Science, Technology & Human Values. Dr. Deseriis has held positions at Northeastern University, Boston (2012-18), and The New School, New York (2011-12). He has also held postdoctoral fellowships such as the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship of the European Commission and the Andrew Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. He holds a PhD from New York University (2011).
