Ricardo A. Gutiérrez is an Argentine political scientist specialized in environmental politics. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's in Social Science Research from the University of Buenos Aires, and a PhD in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University. He serves as a full professor and Dean of the School of Politics and Government at National University of San Martín, and as a principal researcher at National Council for Scientific and Technological Research. His research agenda addresses the multiple interactions between state, social, and economic actors in the debate on environmental protection in Latin America. He is currently conducting research on environmental policies in Argentina, focusing on the protection of native forests, protected areas, and climate policy.
