Santana do Livramento, RS, 01/29/1962, graduated in Journalism in History from PUCRS (1984), DEA in Sociology (1992) and PhD in Sociology - University Paris V Rene� Descartes (1995). Full professor at PUCRS where he coordinated, from 2003 to 2014, the Postgraduate Program in Communication, having returned to the function in 2022. He works in the Sociology of the media, politics, history and imaginary. Translator, novelist, broadcaster and columnist, he was a correspondent in France, from 1993 to 1995, for the newspaper Zero Hora. He has published 43 individual books, three of which have been translated into French.
