Tom Dobber's research focuses on AI, politics and journalism. Specificially on algorithmic optimization, political microtargeting and (AI-generated) disinformation. Using a mix of approaches (experimentation, surveys, (automated) content analyses, interviews), Tom tries to understand how actors use AI in society, and what its effects are for institutions of press and politics.
